The Extraordinary Italian Taste – Past Events
The Extraordinary Italian Taste program champions authentic, made in Italy products by highlighting the designations, traceability, quality control, and certifications, inherent to all bonafide Italian goods. The program is mandated and supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and is being executed in North America by nine Italian Chambers of Commerce. Its goal is to educate Canadian consumers on how to identify and appreciate an authentic Italian product to help them make informed purchases and experience the inimitable quality of Italian food exports, introducing them to True Italian Taste.
The Authentic Italian Table: March – May 2018
The Authentic Italian Table was part of a series of initiatives to highlight authentic Italian products with DOP and IGP designations. The Authentic Italian Table included an educational tour to Italy from March 23 to 29, 2018 with the participation of renowned local chefs, and special dining experiences from April 25 to May 10, 2018.
The chefs traveled to three regions in the North-West of Italy: Liguria, Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta. The educational tour was organized in collaboration with Chef Ugo Mura from the prestigious IFSE Culinary Institute in Torino.
