On October 18th, Alessandro Manzoni's 'I Promessi Sposi' was held at the Al Green Theatre . Over 200 guests were in attendance, making it a tremendous success. This was an Italian presentation in celebration of the 150th Anniversary and was a joint presentation of the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the Italian Studies Department at the University of Toronto. A performance of passion and culture, the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario would like to express our deepest thanks and gratitude to the event sponsors Empire Communities and the Golini and Guizzetti Families, for making the show possible. A big 'thank you' to the cast for an incredible performance. And of course the show's director, Mr. Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, who did a fantastic job of bringing the piece to life. Last but certainly not least, our partners in the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Studies Department at the University of Toronto for their efforts.
