OMNI Television Presents the Toronto Mayoral Candidates’ Debate
in cooperation with The GTBA (Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business & Professionals, Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario, Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, Toronto Chinese Business Association)
Sunday September 12th on OMNI.1 and OMNI.2

 

TORONTO – September 9, 2010- OMNI Television in association with the GTBA is pleased to present the 2010 pre-election debate featuring Rob Ford, Joe Pantalone, Rocco Rossi, George Smitherman, and Sarah Thomson. OMNI News anchor, Angie Seth, will host and John Tory will be the debate moderator.

Special coverage of this event will be broadcasted on Sunday, September 12th at 8PM on OMNI.1 and OMNI.2

OMNI Television viewers will get an opportunity to hear candidates respond directly to the concerns of business professionals represented by the GTBA from the local Chinese, Italian, Portuguese and South Asian communities. OMNI News personalities Vincenzo Somma, Lidia Ferreira, Josephine Au, Jenny Hu, Wei Li and Kenneith Li will also weigh in on the discussion with concerns raised from viewers. Community leaders including Avvy Go, Director Southeast Legal Aid Clinic and former OPP commissioner of Toronto and former Toronto Police Chief, Julian Fantino will also be present.

Please be advised that the five candidates will be available for a media scrum immediately following the taping of the debate at the OMNI Television studio (33 Dundas St. East, Toronto). The debate starts taping at 11:00am on Sunday Sept. 12th. Space is limited, please RSVP via email dellosbel@italchambers.ca.
