On July 29 in the garden of the Italian Consulate, ICCO presented La Dolce Vita, an alfresco evening remembering the finer things in life. For one night, guests were transported back into the 1960’s as they danced to the music of Adriano Celentano, Rita Pavone and Nino Rota all against the backdrop of Fellini’s classic “La Dolce Vita.” The displays of vespas, Alfa Romero, and FIAT cinquecento, guests in vintage tacchi and skinny ties, Italian delicacies and beverages, the atmosphere of the “sweet life” has been recreated during the night. ICCO was pleased to have Ms. Robin Kay, President of the Fashion Design Council of Canada, as the master of ceremony for the evening. The event was also honoured to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Campari, an internationally recognized product that is part of the Italian culture today. To conclude the beautiful evening, ICCO gave away great prizes to their guests including a pair of LG Fashion Week and tickets to the Clash of the Champions football match featuring Inter Milan FC. With an attendance of over 200 guests, La Dolce Vita was truly a success and we look forward to making this event an annual summer rendezvous for our members.
