In 2017 the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario created the INNOVATION DESK, a division of the office entirely dedicated to the innovation sector, with the goal of promoting and developing commercial relationships and partnerships between Italian and Canadian SMI.

From aerospace to biotechnology, from the environment to advanced manufacturing, ‎Italy, despite the several crises that have plagued its economy confirms to be a leader in Europe entrenching its exports year after year.

Canada, for instance, has been the witness and the final user of Italian exports that have reached their peak in 2015 with almost 7 billion dollars‎. Italy is the seventh trading partner of ‎ Canada.

Machinery and related products lead the ranking of the trade exchange between Canada and Italy.

Every year, we proudly host an innovative day that brings together the best of young and innovative Canadian and Italian start-ups to promote commercial relationships between Italian and Canadian SMI. The event includes Seminars, B2B meetings between Italian and Canadian companies, and Tradeshow opportunities.
