A MICHELIN STARRED EVENING TO SUPPORT THE POWER OF WOMEN

(Toronto, November 10, 2017) – Michelin Star Chef Cristina Bowerman and Alberta Cefis, one of the world’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking, will present a five-course dinner and discussion to celebrate The Power of Women. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Terroni Restaurant on Adelaide Street in Toronto and is one of the many events of CENTItalia, a week-long festival hosted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario (ICCO) and Centennial College.

The Power of Women dinner will bring together businesswomen from a variety of sectors to share experiences of personal and professional growth through leadership, education, networking support and recognition. Funds raised through this event will be used to establish a scholarship for sole-support mothers pursuing higher education in the field of Culinary Arts.

Alberta Cefis is a global financial services executive, board director, thought leader, author and passionate champion of the advancement of women. Amongst her many awards she has been named repeatedly to the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking worldwide, and to the Hall of Fame of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. Additional panelists include:

• CRISTINA BOWERMAN, a multi-talented Michelin star chef with a passion for innovative cooking, inspiring a new generation of female chefs while leading a fresh, modern era of Italian cooking.
• ANN BULLER, President and CEO of Centennial College, as well as recipient of numerous awards acknowledging her excellence in leadership and mentoring.
• DANIELA CARCASOLE, an Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young with deep experience in the renewable energy sector. Daniela is also responsible for leading EY’s Canadian innovation hub.
• ROSIE SIDOROVA, a young entrepreneur and mother, who will launch FoodPic App in early November, an example of a young woman entrepreneur in a startup business environment.
